About
Noella Freeman is a Christian worship artist whose music is rooted in raw vulnerability, emotional depth, and fearless faith. Her artistry blends intimate worship with cinematic textures, old-film aesthetics, and quiet emotional intensity — creating songs that feel both sacred and contemporary. Drawing from the tension between darkness and hope, Noella writes for the people carrying hidden pain, searching for healing, or trying to find God in the middle of real life.
Her testimony is woven deeply into every song she releases. Growing up surrounded by instability, trauma, and confusion about faith, Noella spent years searching for identity, love, and worth in all the wrong places. After surviving sexual assault as a teenager, battling depression and suicidal thoughts, enduring chronic physical pain, and later becoming trapped in an abusive marriage, she found herself completely stripped down emotionally and spiritually. Yet in the middle of heartbreak, worship became the place where God met her. Through years of pain, loss, rejection, and rebuilding, she discovered a God who stays close to the brokenhearted and faithfully restores what feels beyond repair.
In 2009, after being diagnosed with spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, and hip dysplasia, Noella experienced a healing encounter with God that forever changed her life. Later, after years of emotional abuse and losing herself inside a toxic marriage, she encountered another defining moment when a prophetic word reminded her: “You are strong.” That moment became the foundation for her song “Strong Now” and marked the beginning of reclaiming her identity, voice, and purpose. Her music now carries the honesty of someone who has walked through deep valleys and still chooses worship.
Today, Noella creates worship music for the hurting, the healing, and the hopeful. Her songs are filled with grit, grace, and spiritual reflection — honest enough to sit in sorrow, yet anchored in redemption. Whether singing about surrender, survival, restoration, or the faithfulness of God through suffering, Noella’s mission is simple: to create space for people to encounter God authentically, without masks or performance. Every lyric is an offering from someone who has been refined through the fire and made new.
